Special Cables

Some duties are not covered by a standard catalogue construction: a trailing cable that is dragged across rock every shift, a concentric service cable that has to satisfy a specific utility’s metering practice, or a build to a customer’s own drawing.

Rubber-sheathed flexible cable takes abrasion, oil and repeated flexing that would destroy a PVC or XLPE sheath. Concentric constructions put the neutral or earth as a layer around the phase cores, which some networks require for service connections.
