Engineering Information

1. Conductor: Stranded Aluminum alloy (AA-8000) compacted

conductor, Class B stranding, per ASTM B801.

Sizes: 6 AWG up to 750 kcmil.

2. Insulation: Flame retardant thermoset crosslinked

polyethylene (XLPE).

UL listed as MC.

Single conductors are rated XHHW-2.

Voltage rating for XHHW-2

conductors is 600 volts and 1000 volts for sizes 6 AWG and larger. Cable

rated for sunlight

3. Grounding: One insulated

aluminum alloy (Al-8000)

compacted stranded conductor. On request, bare ground.

4. Assembly: Phase and grounding conductors are cabled together with binder tape.

5. Armor: Aluminum interlocked armor applied over the binder tape and a longitudinal marker tape for ID.
